The purpose that drives our work and the future we are building for autistic individuals and their families.
To raise global autism awareness and provide support systems for children with special needs and their families through education, advocacy, and community engagement.
To create a world where individuals with autism and special needs are fully understood, accepted, and empowered to live fulfilling lives.
As a forward thinking organisation, we are guided by these set of key objectives that helps us execute our impact:

The principles that shape how we show up for autistic individuals, families, and communities every day.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental condition that affects millions of individuals worldwide, yet misconceptions and stigma surrounding autism persist, particularly in many African countries. Globally, it is estimated that 1 in 100 children is diagnosed with autism, with diagnosis rates increasing due to greater awareness and improved diagnostic techniques. However, in many African nations, limited awareness, lack of diagnostic resources, and inadequate support services mean that countless children with autism go undiagnosed, unsupported and unincluded.
Families of autistic children in Africa face immense challenges, including social stigma, lack of educational opportunities, and absence of specialized healthcare services. Many children are mislabeled, misunderstood, or marginalized, preventing them from reaching their potential and leading fulfilling lives. These challenges are compounded by a lack of trained professionals, support networks, and government policies that promote inclusion and acceptance.
The JAI Network was founded to address these gaps with a unique, multi-faceted approach that combines awareness, education, advocacy, and direct support. By operating in both the United States and key African nations, we provides culturally relevant programs, virtual sensitization, and practical support tailored to each community's needs. Through initiatives like the Jenneh Autism Awareness Program (JAAP) and the Thanksgiving Basket Project, JAI ensures that autistic children and their families receive the knowledge, resources, and community support necessary to thrive.
JAI's intervention is unique because it bridges international expertise with local knowledge, fostering sustainable change by educating communities, supporting caregivers, and advocating for policy changes.

Our journey has been one of growth, impact, and real transformation. From the United States to Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Ghana, we have reached thousands of families, educators, and caregivers with our awareness campaigns, educational programs, and direct support initiatives.
Through the Jenneh Autism Awareness Program (JAAP), we have empowered over 5,000 individuals worldwide with knowledge about autism, equipping them with the tools needed to support autistic children effectively. Our Thanksgiving Basket Project has delivered essential supplies to special needs homes and orphanages across 5 countries in America and Africa, ensuring that children with autism receive the care and resources they deserve.
We have built strong partnerships with local organizations, collaborated with dedicated caregivers, and engaged in advocacy efforts to push for more inclusive policies and environments for autistic individuals. Each step forward has been fueled by the unwavering dedication of our team, supporters, and volunteers who believe in a world where every child regardless of ability has the opportunity to thrive.
Together, we will continue to transform lives, build stronger communities, and create a future where every autistic individual is valued, understood, and supported.
